In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Doctor Sanjeev Kumar of JDU won in this constituency beating Digambar Prasad Tiwary of RJD by a margin of 951 votes which was 0.51% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Ramanad Prasad Singh of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Ramanuj Choudhary of BJP by a margin of 28924 votes which was 17.09% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Samrat Choudhary Alias Rakesh Kumar of RJD won this seat defeating Ramanand Prasad Singh of JDU by a margin of 808 votes which was 0.57% of the total votes polled for the seat.
