In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Jai Prakash Yadav of BJP won in this constituency beating Anil Kumar Yadav of RJD by a margin of 28610 votes which was 14.26% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Anil Kumar Yadav of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Janardan Yadav of BJP by a margin of 25951 votes which was 14.76% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Devanti Yadav of BJP won this seat defeating Anil Kumar Yadav of RJD by a margin of 6937 votes which was 4.65% of the total votes polled for the seat.
