In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Rajesh Kumar of INC won in this constituency beating Sharwan Bhuiya of HAMS by a margin of 16653 votes which was 12% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Rajesh Kumar of INC was the winner in this seat beating Santosh Kumar Suman of HAMS by a margin of 10098 votes which was 8.41% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Lalan Ram of JDU won this seat defeating Suresh Paswan of RJD by a margin of 13910 votes which was 14.88% of the total votes polled for the seat.
