In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Mina Kumari of JDU won in this constituency beating Umakant Yadav of RJD by a margin of 11488 votes which was 6% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Kapil Deo Kamat of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Binod Kumar Singh of LJP by a margin of 20267 votes which was 12.42% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Uma Kant Yadav of RJD won this seat defeating Kapildeb Kamat of JDU by a margin of 4913 votes which was 3.85% of the total votes polled for the seat.
