This constituency covers an approximate area of 1615.49 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sabalagadh is: 19°58'19.2"N 73°43'34.3"E.

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Ranjit Prataprao Kamble of INC won in this constituency beating Rajesh Bhauraoji Bakane of IND by a margin of 35,774 votes which was 20.44% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Kamble Ranjit Prataprao of INC was the winner in this seat beating Suresh Ganpatrao Waghmare of BJP by a margin of 943 votes which was 0.56% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Ranjit Prataprao Kamble of INC won this seat defeating Tadas Ramdas Chandrabhan of BJP by a margin of 3,746 votes which was 2.52% of the total votes polled for the seat.
