This constituency covers an approximate area of 18.11 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sabalagadh is: 19°01'56.6"N 72°53'53.5"E.

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Prakash Vaikunth Phaterpekar of SS won in this constituency beating Chandrakant Damodar Handore of INC by a margin of 18,981 votes which was 14.31% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Prakash Vaikunth Phaterpekar of SS was the winner in this seat beating Chandrakant Damodhar Handore of INC by a margin of 10,027 votes which was 7.19% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Chandrakant Damodhar Handore of INC won this seat defeating Anil Bachubhai Chauhan of MNS by a margin of 17,966 votes which was 14.55% of the total votes polled for the seat.
