In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Raju Kumar Singh of VIP won in this constituency beating Ramvichar Rai of RJD by a margin of 15333 votes which was 8.36% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Ramvichar Rai of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Raju Kumar Singh of BJP by a margin of 10660 votes which was 6.59% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Raju Kumar Singh of JDU won this seat defeating Ram Vichar Ray of RJD by a margin of 4916 votes which was 4.06% of the total votes polled for the seat.
