In 2015, Ramvichar Rai of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Raju Kumar Singh of BJP by a margin of 10660 votes which was 6.59% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Raju Kumar Singh of JDU won this seat defeating Ram Vichar Ray of RJD by a margin of 4916 votes which was 4.06% of the total votes polled for the seat.
