In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Aniruddha Prasad Yadav of JDU won in this constituency beating Yadubansh Kumar Yadav of RJD by a margin of 43922 votes which was 23.44% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Anirudh Prasad Yadav of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Ram Kumar Roy of BJP by a margin of 23951 votes which was 14.3% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Aniruddha Prasad Yadav of JDU won this seat defeating Vijay Kumar Gupta of INC by a margin of 46010 votes which was 35.27% of the total votes polled for the seat.
