In 2015, Raju Tiwari of LJP was the winner in this seat beating Brajesh Kumar of INC by a margin of 27920 votes which was 20.39% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Meena Dwivedi of JDU won this seat defeating Raju Tiwari of LJP by a margin of 8405 votes which was 8.63% of the total votes polled for the seat.
