In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Pushpasreevani Pamula of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Veera Vara Thodramal Nara Simha Priya Thatraj of TDP by a margin of 26,602 votes which was 18.57% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Pamula Pushpa Sreevani of YSRCP was the winner in this seat beating Janardhan Thatraj Veera Vara Todramala of TDP by a margin of 19,083 votes which was 14.32% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Janardhana That Raj Veera Vara Thodaramala of INC won this seat defeating Nimmaka Jayaraju of PRAP by a margin of 15,053 votes which was 12.86% of the total votes polled for the seat.
