In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Nallapareddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Polamreddy Srinivasulu Reddy of TDP by a margin of 39,891 votes which was 19.41% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Polamreddy Srinivasulu Reddy of TDP was the winner in this seat beating Nallapareddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy of YSRCP by a margin of 7,937 votes which was 4.09% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Nallapareddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy of TDP won this seat defeating Polamreddy Sreenivasulu Reddy of INC by a margin of 7,444 votes which was 4.4% of the total votes polled for the seat.
