In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Chetti Palguna of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Donnu Dora Siyyari of IND by a margin of 25,441 votes which was 16.15% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Kidari Sarveswara Rao of YSRCP was the winner in this seat beating Siveri Soma of TDP by a margin of 34,053 votes which was 22.69% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Siveri Soma of TDP won this seat defeating Vanjangi Kanthamma of INC by a margin of 402 votes which was 0.33% of the total votes polled for the seat.

In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Chetti Palguna of YSRCP had a vote share of 33.7% in this seat. In 2014, Kidari Sarveswara Rao of YSRCP secured a vote share of 42.44% in this constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Siveri Soma of TDP got a vote share of 29.04% in Araku Valley.
