In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Gadde Rama Mohan of TDP won in this constituency beating Boppana Bhava Kumar of YSRCP by a margin of 15,164 votes which was 8.11% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Gadde Rama Mohan of TDP was the winner in this seat beating Vangaveeti Radhakrishnan of YSRCP by a margin of 15,503 votes which was 8.37% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Ravi Yalamanchili of PRAP won this seat defeating Devineni Rajasekhar(Nehru) of INC by a margin of 190 votes which was 0.11% of the total votes polled for the seat.
