Demographic profile

There were a total of 2,50,628 registered voters on the electoral rolls for the 2024 Rachaveedu, Rayachoty, Rajaveedu Assembly election, of which 1,24,087 were male, 1,26,515 female and 26 of the third gender. In the 2019 Assembly elections, there were a total of 2,31,856 registered voters, of which 1,24,087 were male, 1,16,247 female and 27 of the third gender. In 2014 elections, there were a total of 2,25,388 registered voters in this constituency, of which 1,11,655 were male, 1,13,713 female and 20 of the third gender. In the 2009 polls, the number of total electors was 1,86,579 which included 89,443 male, and 97,136 female.

In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Gadikota Srikanth Reddy of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Ramesh Kumar Reddy Reddappagari of TDP by a margin of 32,862 votes which was 18.9% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Gadikota Srikanth Reddy of YSRCP was the winner in this seat beating Ramesh Kumar Reddy Reddeppagari of TDP by a margin of 34,782 votes which was 20.24% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Gadikota Srikanth Reddy of INC won this seat defeating Palakondrayudu Sugavasi of TDP by a margin of 14,832 votes which was 10.36% of the total votes polled for the seat.
