In 2014, Anitha Vangalapudi of TDP was the winner in this seat beating Changala Venkata Rao of YSRCP by a margin of 2,828 votes which was 1.57% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Golla Baburao of INC won this seat defeating Chengala Venkata Rao of TDP by a margin of 656 votes which was 0.42% of the total votes polled for the seat.
