In 2014, Raghuramireddy Settipalli of YSRCP was the winner in this seat beating Putta Sudhakar Yadav of TDP by a margin of 11,522 votes which was 7% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Duggireddy Lakshmireddy Ravindra Reddy of INC won this seat defeating Raghurami Reddy Settipalli of TDP by a margin of 4,361 votes which was 3.07% of the total votes polled for the seat.
