Demographic profile

There were a total of 2,31,473 registered voters on the electoral rolls for the 2024 Avulagadda Assembly election, of which 1,14,863 were male, 1,16,596 female and 14 of the third gender. In the 2019 Assembly elections, there were a total of 2,21,164 registered voters, of which 1,14,863 were male, 1,11,503 female and 15 of the third gender. In 2014 elections, there were a total of 2,21,178 registered voters in this constituency, of which 1,09,073 were male, 1,12,090 female and 15 of the third gender. In the 2009 polls, the number of total electors was 2,00,691 which included 97,853 male, and 1,02,838 female.

The number of service voters in Avulagadda Assembly constituency was 522 in 2019, 366 in 2014 and 273 in 2009.

In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Gangula Brijendra Reddy (Nani) of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Akhila Priya Bhuma of TDP by a margin of 35,613 votes which was 19.18% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Bhuma Shobha Nagi Reddy of YSRCP was the winner in this seat beating Gangula Prabhakara Reddy of TDP by a margin of 17,928 votes which was 10.35% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Bhuma Shobha Nagi Reddy of PRAP won this seat defeating Gangula Prathap Reddy of INC by a margin of 1,958 votes which was 1.27% of the total votes polled for the seat.
